On February 21st thousands of students rallied at Florida’s Capitol demanding action.
A week after the deadliest mass school shooting in U.S. history, students held meetings with lawmakers and Florida officials to discuss change.
Student Delaney Tarr told the legislators that “we’ve had enough of thoughts and prayers…If you supported us you would be making change now.”
Protestors returned to the Capitol early Monday morning to reinforce the messages made the previous week.
On March 14th, students are planning a nationwide school walkout for 17 minutes to mark the lives lost during the shooting.
