The polystyrene foam cups beloved by Dunkin’ customers will be fully eliminated by 2020.
The foam will be replaced by double-walled cups, which are currently being used at their concept stores.
The decision has after years of the company searching to find a more environmentally friendly cup.
Dunkin’s sustainability chief Karen Raskopf said getting rid of the foam cups “is significant for both our brand and our industry.”
All locations in New York and California will be receiving the new double-walled paper cups this spring.
