The monument commemorating “Star-Spangled Banner” author Francis Scott Key was vandalized in downtown Baltimore.
Spokesman for Baltimore Mayor Anthony McCarthy said police were investigating and determining the best way to remove the graffiti.
A statue of Christopher Columbus in downtown Baltimore was also vandalized after the events in Charlottesville.
