Superstore chain Fred Meyer is getting out of the firearms business.
According to its parent company Kroger, this business move is mainly due to “softening consumer demand” in recent years.
Fred Meyer reports annual gun sales around $7 million.
Two weeks ago, Kroger announced it would cease selling guns and ammo to customers younger than 21.
That decision followed similar moves by Wal-Mart and Dick’s Sporting Goods in the wake of the Parkland school massacre.
Fred Meyer stores are located in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
Kroger also said it will stop selling magazines featuring assault rifles.
