Las Vegas Hotel Workers Ask for Panic Buttons

The union for hotel workers in Las Vegas has started asking casino-resort operators to issue “panic buttons” to housekeepers.

In wake of the #MeToo movement against sexual misconduct, hotel workers are looking for ways to increase their safety.

In the past few years, several hotel workers have been assaulted or abused sexually while on the job.

MGM Resorts said, “workplace safety is a top priority…we are working in conjunction with the Culinary Union to equip housekeeping staff with panic buttons.”
