At U.S. locations, McDonald’s is banishing cheeseburgers and chocolate milk from its Happy Meal menu by June 2018.
The popular Happy Meal has been targeted by health advocates as a link to childhood obesity.
Over the past few years the chain has made several changes to its menu as it tries to shed its junk-food image.
The company said that it wants Happy Meals to have less than 600 calories and less than 650 mg of sodium.
The final tweak for Happy Meals will include smaller portions and healthier french fries.
