Nationwide Flu Virus Kills 20 Children

 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that for the first time in 13 years every continental U.S. state has widespread flu.

Officials cite the extreme winter weather and strong virus strain for the jump in flu related hospitalizations.

Current flu vaccinations have little effect on this years strain, which has killed 20 children.

With three months left in the flu season, the CDC still recommends getting a flu shot.
