A New York state senator has introduced a bill to remove President Trump’s name from a state park in response to Trump’s comments about “shithole countries.”
The proposal plans to remove the moniker, “Donald J. Trump State Park” from the 436-acre park in Westchester and Putnam counties.
Last year, Queens Assemblywoman Nily Rozic proposed renaming the park Heather D. Heyer State Park after the woman who was killed in the Charlottesville riots.
Trump donated the land to the state in 2006 after failing to acquire permits to build a golf course.
