The bankrupt toy retailer announced that it is closing an additional 200 stores across the country.
The struggling company will also make large cuts to its corporate staff at their New Jersey headquarters.
Last year the chain had 880 locations, but once the closings are done it will only have 400 left.
Industry experts predict that in order for Toys R US to remain viable they will need to have less than 200 stores.
The company told the bankruptcy court that it plans to become a leaner, more innovative company that will not be bankrupt by the fall.
