The National Retail Federation predicts Americans will spend $19.6 billion this Valentine’s Day.
The average person is expected to spend $143 on gifts, roughly $7 more than 2017.
The NRF estimates that $2 billion will be spent on flowers and UPS expects it will deliver 88 million flowers.
Similar to last year, consumers plan to shop online and at department stores, florists and at small local businesses.
