Walmart is quietly raising its online prices for key consumer good ahead of their Black Friday sale.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the retailers aim is to drive customers back to their stores for sale prices.
Walmart has been fighting an uphill battle with other e-commerce giants like Amazon, but its expansion online comes at a price.
Efficiencies are harder to come by online, some items simply cost less to sell in stores and the online costs are showing up in Walmart’s bottom line, said CFO Brett Biggs.
