World Trade Center Tribute Lights

On October 31st, The World Trade Center lit up red, white and blue as a tribute to the victims of the deadly truck attack earlier that day.

Eight people were killed and 11 people were injured when a pickup truck drove down a popular bike path along the Hudson River.

Mayor Bill de Blasio declared the attack an “act of terror” and federal law enforcement began the investigation into the motives behind it.

Following the attack, security was increased at other NYC landmarks and busy areas.

Officials declared it is the deadliest terrorist attack in NYC since September 11th 2001.
