Travelers Beware of Hidden Airport Germs

A recent experiment by Insurancequotes.com tested six surfaces in three major U.S. airports and three airlines to find the dirtiest  areas while traveling.

According to the results, touchscreens on airport kiosks had 1000 times more germs than found on toilet seats.

Other highly contaminated areas in the airports included water fountain buttons and armrests on chairs.

Three germ riddled places inside the airplanes include the toilet flush button, tray tables, and seat buckles.

Travelers are encouraged to wash their hands often or carry hand sanitizer, especially during winter months.
